What’s New? || Geek News

Happy Thursday people, I really hope you like superheroes because today that’s all I’ve got for you: lots and lots of superheroes.

Guardians of the Galaxy Set Photos

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is due to be released in April of 2017 but just because there’s more than a year before it comes out doesn’t mean you can’t start to get excited. Zoe Saldana took to Facebook and shared a couple of behind-the-scenes pictures of the set, including herself in her full Gamora costume.

Supergirl’s Views Spike This Week

This week’s episode of Supergirl saw The Flash visiting National City. This was  amazing, not only because everybody wanted to see these characters together, but also because this crossover took place across television networks. The show reached a seven-week high in its ratings, jumping up 21% in total viewers.

Batman v Superman Deleted Scene

Yes, the film is still in cinemas. Yes, they’re already releasing deleted scenes. I don’t know why but my inner nerd is saying I should shut up and just appreciate it. The clip shows Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor meeting a strange and definitely alien figure who I’m currently thinking is Darkseid. Maybe we’ll be seeing Darkseid in later DCEU films.

Fox Delays Gambit Movie

Does that headline seem familiar? That’s probably because it keeps happening. I’ve all but given up hope for Gambit – I feel like they’re just going to keep moving it back in the schedule until it’s just no longer there. This time around, Fox are delaying as the script undergoes rewrites. If we ever get a Gambit movie I just have to hope that all of this extra time means that it’ll better than Fox’s Fantastic Four flop.

That’s it today but until I’ll be back with more news on Saturday (yeah, there’s news on a Saturday now – I’m shaking things up a bit). Until then:

Did you watch this week’s Supergirl? Are you excited to see Darkseid in future DC films? Will Gambit ever see the big screen? Let me know in the comments.
