What’s New? || Geek News

Merry Tuesday people, last night saw the release of The Huntsman: Winter’s War so if you haven’t read our review of that yet, here it is – you’re welcome. Anyway, what’s been happening over the last couple of days?

Jungle Book Reviews

The critics were able to get their hands on this month’s The Jungle Book before its release on the 15th. If you’ve been following this site then you’ll know that The Jungle Book is my most-highly anticipated film of the year so I was peeking at these reviews through my fingers and squinted eyes. It turns out that I didn’t need to worry because everybody loves it. Now the hard part is waiting to see it.

Swiss Army Man Trailer

This film is definitely a departure from what I usually talk about on this site but it’s so weird and it stars Daniel Radcliffe so an exception has been made. I’ve been hearing about this film for a while since it was making the rounds at festivals where it had a very polarising effect on audiences. Daniel Radcliffe plays a farting corpse and based on the trailer, it might be good? It really feels 50/50 at this point but you can judge for yourself.

Spiderman Reboot Title

Last week, Sony registered the URL SpiderManHomecomingTheMovie.com so it’s looking very possible that the untitled Spiderman movie may be called Spiderman Homecoming. I would love if this film took the threat-scale way down from the other Marvel films and Peter Parker just had to chaperone a homecoming dance: your move Marvel.

That’s it today – obviously there’re always things coming out so look at the site, make my day. Until then:

Will you be seeing The Jungle Book on opening night? Have you ever wanted to see a film about a farting corpse? Do you want to see Spiderman in homecoming? Let me know in the comments.
