Captain America: Civil War – The New Guys

Now there are only 6 days until Captain America: Civil War! Yesterday we went through a quick breakdown of the teams and you may have noticed a couple of names that we haven’t seen in the MCU before – Spider-Man and Black Panther. You’re probably pretty familiar with Spider-Man but maybe not so much with Black Panther so let’s talk about them.

Spider-Man:

Everybody’s favourite web-slinger and my personal favourite superhero is finally joining the MCU. First there was Sam Raimi’s trilogy starring Tobey Maguire and then Marc Webb’s two films with Andrew Garfield. We now, finally, get to see Spidey interacting with the other MCU heroes as he joins Marvel Studios. Sony had been holding onto the rights to Spider-Man so hard but last year they finally agreed to share.

The latest incarnation of Spider-Man is played by 19-year old, British actor, Tom Holland. So far we’ve only been able to see a tiny clip of him in the Captain America: Civil War trailer but the lucky few that were able to see the film early have said that he is easily their favourite part of the movie.

Black Panther:

What do you need to know about Black Panther? Well, I’m sure you’ll find out plenty in his solo film, Black Panther, which will be released in 2018 but if we’re judging by the trailers alone then Black Panther’s passion in life is killing Bucky Barnes. That’s really all we’ve seen him try to do so far.

I’m trying my hardest to keep this week spoiler-free so I’m not going to dive deep into his story but if you do want to know more about him, check out the video below.
