What’s New? || Geek News

Merry Tuesday everybody, so far this week things have been pretty quiet but I have still have things to share with you, so let’s get into it:

Justin Lin To Direct Space Jam 2

1996’s Space Jam is a film that I adore despite the fact that I have no interest in sports and zero knowledge of basketball. You wouldn’t think that Michael Jordan and the Looney Tunes would be a winning combo but they were. There have been talks of a sequel starring LeBron James and now that sequel has a director in the form of Fast and Furious 6‘s Justin Lin. As much as I am a fan of Justin Lin’s work I don’t know why they’re making a sequel in the first place (money..) and I don’t think that it’ll be great. I mean, of course I’m still going to see it.

X-Men: Apocalypse Featurette

If it wasn’t obvious from the title, the main villain the upcoming X-Men movie is Apocalypse – not the end of worlds but an actual guy (who arguably could be the end of at the very least, this world). If you wanted to learn a little bit more about him, they just released a featurette talking about the character and his role in the film which you can watch below.

Star Trek To Shoot In Toronto

A new series of the television series, Star Trek, will be coming to our screens in January of next year and is set to begin filming this Autumn. Yesterday, CBS took to Twitter and confirmed that the new series would be shot in Toronto, Canada.

That’s everything for today but we’ll back with more on Thursday. Until then:

Do you want a Space Jam sequel? Are you a fan of Apocalypse as a villain? Will you be watching the new series of Star Trek? Let me know in the comments.
