Weekly Round-Up || Geek News

It’s Sunday so first of all: congratulations for making it through another week. Also it’s the day that we review all of the things that happened over the week so let’s get into it:

Best Piece Of News

Alden Ehrenreich has officially been cast in the role of the young Han Solo in the upcoming spin-off movie. His casting has been the source of controversy because everybody had their opinion on who should have been given the role. Over the last few months, practically every young actor in Hollywood was rumoured as being in the running for the role so I’m just happy that it’s over. Will Alden be a good fit? We’ll find out in a couple of years.

Worst Piece Of News

As the Power Rangers movie that nobody asked for moves along in its production process, we are getting more information about it. This week saw the release of images of the new Power Ranger suits. Generally, I’m not crazy about them but the production designer has said that it’s not a suit but something alien that actually grows on them. Maybe that explains the breast plates – maybe – but why the wedges on the female rangers?

Most Bizarre Piece Of News

The sequel to Space Jam is definitely a thing now and they even have a director. Justin Lin, director of three of the Fast & Furious franchise is now signed onto to direct Space Jam 2 which will star LeBron James.

  • Angel Takes On Nightcrawler
  • Infinity War Re-Titled
  • More Mystery Roles On Wolverine 3
